The instructors who have been sent from this

Colony are returning without any instructors' outfits,

with the result that they are perfectly useless. A

despatch on this subject has been sent to the S. of S.

and I would be most grateful if in future equipment can

always be supplied to those Hong Kong volunteers who pass

successfully through the school and sent out here as soon

as possible.

I also believe that the Home Office have issued

quite recently a small advanced handbook on structural

precautions, and I would be very glad if you could obtain

an advanced copy and send it along to me.
